JUST PRO-HUMAN..

Yesterday, when on the phone with a dear friend, i could hear the fireworks in the background..together we wondered what it was for..Vishu and easter was long over, the festive air had faded giving way to the monotony of daily affairs, but our moorings failed 2 provide any logical result..Today after a period of self imposed exile due to exams,I embraced the truth that sitting and studying shall never be my cup of tea and resolved 2 go out for lunch..Clearly the world had zoomed ahead a lot, leaving me behind to digest the inevitable,.. Nope!no messiah went on the cross with the burden of all human sins, but definitly there were many imposters..No,it was not the heralding of a new year, but nonetheless as exciting as one..THE ELECTIONS ARE HERE..

From the free party pamphlets with the daily news papers to cleverly conjured slogans in the tune of popular film songs blaring on the speakers, election is conspicuos with its short arrival.Albeit free tv and cycle syndrome from our neighbouring "ammas land" has still not caught our politicos, hollow promises are still aplenty. And while critics out there find thier heads under the trains, our political satirists and comedians are still laughing aloud to their banks..But the very fact that politics is espoused as buffoonery,is not comforting.Nothing is probably more ironic than the candidates smiles in the campaign posters, perfected with an extra shine by the scruplous photographer..the irony lies in the fact that the smiles are absent on the ones on the other side,a mocking grimace maybe, but never a smile..From the open sale of sslc papers in the market, to the tsunami ravaged allapuzha, the present govt has many questions to answer..While wayanad glared in droughts, the govt still thought the closing of the coca cola plant that used tons of water as an act of an irresponsible public.. But who are we kidding??the left is just another choice, and i bet they will provide their rightful share of misdoings 2 burden us by the next elections..

But the answer doesn't lie in cosidering 22nd as a another public holiday..Go out there and vote, atleast they will be answerable 2 us..atleast we have the right to demand.and lets be optimistic that ATLEAST with the aim of countering the other party's mistakes they would come up with something..Mr narayana moorthy had said we Indians suffer from MAFA, misinterpreting articulation for accomplishment, well the bug has bitten me..Everything said and done i dont have a vote this time;-), in my loitering and moralising i was late 2 get one..So.Thought atleast would tell u guys 2 go and vote..Flaunt the blue mark on your fingers, its your right and responsibility

last of my dreams

last of my dreams
i said " last of my dreams "

packed up in a castle of snow,
things i aspired.
now with little to show.

left alone to feel the cold,
no dreams.
and i'm back in the fold.

last of my dreams
i see " no one to hear the screams "

Do we need reservations???

The reservation system has been in place for close to 60 years now. When is someone in the government finally going to get the brains to say "Reservation doesn't work, lets get rid of it." Seems like every few years the enternal cesspool that constitutes our government finds new ways to screw us, the students as well as citizens of India. I am someone who would personally "BENEFIT" from the so called new quota for OBC's along with the exsisting reservations for SC/ST, but then why should i voice my opposition to such a move. Well firstly the governments that ruled India for so many years have had nothing to do with the interests of the minorities and the socially and educationally backward communites, this reservation system is just a method for them to garner votes from the minorities and that is exactly what happened in the years before, we can't blame any one party of being populist when they come with sops for some particular sections of the society.
